The event follows Apple’s WWDC 2022 from earlier in June, which was the first live event since the start of the pandemic. Back during WWDC 2022, Apple unveiled a number of new additions and updates to its ecosystem. This ranged from being able to edit and unsend messages on iMessage to Apple’s brand new M2 chip. Though the tech giant has made several announcements since then, the upcoming Apple event will likely unveil one of the more highly anticipated Apple products.

According to the announcement, the event titled “Far Out” will take place on September 7 at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple’s Cupertino campus. The expectation is that the company will finally reveal the iPhone 14 lineup. However, rumors suggest that the mini version may be skipped this time, but it could still include four models in the form of an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and an iPhone 14 Max. Further rumors indicate that one of the biggest visual changes may be its infamous notch and that Apple could replace it with a hole-punch selfie camera along with an always-on display.

But a follow-up to its iPhone 13 isn’t the only expectation as the Apple Watch lineup is also rumored to get an addition or two at the event. These rumors suggest that there’s an Apple Watch on the way for extreme sports athletes as well as a new Apple Watch SE equipped with a faster chip. Additionally, the company has already stated that a new Mac Pro is on the horizon. So, there’s a chance that fans may get a glimpse of that too. Either way, Apple is yet to provide any concrete details on what to expect, as is usually the case with the tech giant.

In other Apple news, the company has been recently looking to make inroads into other areas as well. For instance, following iOS 16, iPhones and iPads offer support for Switch Joy-Con controllers. The iPhone maker even announced upscaling tech that works similar to NVIDIA’s DLSS, a clear indication of Apple’s increasing interest in the gaming sector. Although, it’s unlikely that fans will see any gaming-related reveals at this year’s September event.
